Essay

Thesis is devoted to the currently crucial problem of discovering and understanding of the main physical mechanisms that occur under the impact of Ar+, He+, D2+ fluxes of intermediate and low energies on the W, Cu and Al surfaces. The experimental campaigns and analytical treatment were performed to study the modification of the surface shape of cathodes made from aluminum, copper and their alloys under the effect of glow discharge. The mentioned conditions lead to the surface formations with the size that increases the spattering layer width. The phenomenological model for the initial sate formations of these structures was developed. The absorption processes of ion-implantation of deuterium and helium for coating tungsten layers are studded. These layers are the functional layers of compositional structures. The tungsten layers of different thickness deposited on stainless steel substrates with and without copper layer were considered.
