Essay

In the thesis the comprehensive technological process of determining of the banknote prints quality was conducted. Banknote quality is determined by security, readability, aesthetic perceptivity, adaptability and safety. The indicators of quality of banknote products are analyzed, their features were determined. The circulation influences on banknotes and the mechanisms of the banknote degradation are investigated. Banknotes quality control due the circulation is manifested in the stability of the banknote basis and its printing, as well as in preserving the protective features of banknotes throughout their term in circulation, taking into account the constantly growing circulation of banknote products in the world. The technological process of determining of the banknote prints quality is based on the developed model of the technological process of the artificial deterioration of banknotes; generalized information model of the process of determining the degradation of banknotes due disaggregation of the technological process of estimating the complex index of degradation on functional components. Сomprehensive methodology for estimating the indicators of banknote degradation based on the special software and algorithm that includes elements of cluster analysis and physico-mathematical models of the formation of electrophysical characteristics of banknote prints and intaglio prints. The models allow to determine the norms of paint transfer at given parameters of the cells of printing forms of the intaglio printing and also to control the stability of the intaglio printing layer and the general index of deterioration resistance of banknotes during the lifecycle. Also the technological process is based on the special software for correcting control parameters thresholds of the banknote degradation by establishing thresholds of the degradation indicators measured during operation of sorting equipment with periodic migration due to general electrophysical deterioration indicator. Technological recommendations for controlling the moisture content of paper materials were developed in order to stabilize printing processes.
