Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of new welding materials that provides the necessary composition of welded metal and a set of service properties, as well as the improvement technology of arc welding and surfacing of high-tin bronzes with these materials. The influence of gas-slag forming and alloying components, the type of binder and rod material on the welding and technological properties, the sanitary and hygienic characteristics of the coated electrodes for high-tin bronzes intended for welding and surfacing, the manufacturability of their production, as well as the quality, gas saturation and chemical composition welded metal with these welding materials were determined experimentally and by practical consideration. Based on the studies, a flux-cored wire was developed for mechanized surfacing under the flux of high-tin bronze grade CuSn10P. The weld metal and bimetallic compound steel-high-tin bronze on the optimized modes of the surfacing process on steel has increased mechanical (by 15...25%) and especially antifriction properties (1,5...2,1 times) in comparison with cast bronze grade CuSn10P. The technology of surfacing on steel and welding of casting defects with the developed welding materials has been certified for implementation at JSC "Turboatom", Kharkov, in the manufacture and repair of hydraulic turbine parts.
