Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the theoretical investigation of external electric, magnetic fields and impurities influence on the energy spectra and wave functions of the quasi-particles in the multilayered spherical semiconductor quantum dots (QD). Computations are performed in the framework of the effective mass approximation and rectangular potential barriers model. The wave functions are expanded over the complete basis of functions obtained as exact solutions of the Schrodinger equation for a quasiparticle in QD without the external fields and impurity.
