Essay

Object – spatial dynamics of fires and foci of pests pine forests; aim – identifying of spread of fires, foci of defoliators and bark beetles in pine forests and development of methodological approaches to predict the plots with the highest threat of such events; methods: silvicultural – establishment of sample plots; forest entomological – forest inspection; calculated – when studying the features of pine stands distribution by origin, age, relative density of stocking; GIS-technology – for spatial data analysis, evaluation of distances and area, thematic maps construction; statistical methods – for data analysis; novelty – features of spatial & temporal dynamics of "bark beetles caused" drying of pine stands, importance of change of relative density of stocking and category of lands in bordering subcompartments were proved for spread of harmful insects and fire; results – the method of bark beetle foci spread is developed; the method for prediction of pine sawflies foci spread considering change of forest age and relative density of stocking, pine proportion in forest composition, category of land in bordering subcompartments as well as the methods of evaluation the change of the fire hazard class un pine stands with the change of economy type, forest age and category of land in bordering subcompartment have been perfected; scope of application – forestry.
