Essay

Object – introduction of the Ailanthus altissima Mill. in the Right-bank Forest-steppe and the Ukrainian steppe; the purpose is to substantiate the feasibility of using A. altissima in the conditions of the Right Bank Forest-steppe and the Ukrainian Steppe and to study the methods of reproduction and cultivation of the planting material of this species; methods – general sciences (analysis, synthesis, observation, experiment, generalization) and special: biological – for the establishment of morphometric characteristics and seasonal rhythms of growth and development of plants; visual – for decorative assessment; ecological – for assessing the resistance of plants to negative environmental factors; biometric – for determining the characteristics of growth and development of trees, microcloning – during reproduction in vitro, statistical – for processing and analysis of the data obtained; results – on the basis of complex studies biological and environmental features A. altissima; the peculiarities of the age dynamics of the parameters of frost and drought resistance, the optimum composition of nutrient media, sterilization methods for A. altissima cultivation in in vitro conditions was selected and rooted seedling material was obtained; high probability of application of A. altissima for creation of plantations of various functional purposes, in particular decorative and phytomeliorative; improved: methods of seed and vegetative propagation A. altissima; received further development: methods of functional diagnostics of adaptive plants to conditions of anthropogenic pollution; sphere of use – forest and garden-park economy.
