Ponomarenko S. Dynamics of crop yield and agro-ecological zonation of the territory of the Poltava region

The object of the study is yield dynamics of grain and leguminous crops, corn and sunflower in the Poltava region during 1995–2016. The purpose of the study is to establish the patterns of yield dynamics of the grain and legume crop, sunflower and corn within the Poltava region during 1995–2016 and to develop approaches to agroecological zoning of the territories. Research methods are time series analysis, spatial analysis, analysis of data of remote sensing of the Earth, regression analysis, analysis of main components, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis. Theo retical and practical results: the conceptual block-diagram of the analysis of the data of the spatial-temporal dynamics of crop yields taking into account predictors of the agro-ecological environment is proposed; the algorithm, which is indicated by this block-diagram, is the basis of practical measures for landscape planning as an instrument for the sustainable development of agricultural production. Novelty – The spatial-temporal patterns of the variability of yield of the grain and leguminous crops, corn and sunflower in the Poltava region during the formation of new farming conditions in agriculture were established; It is shown that the impact effectiveness of agroeconomic and agrotechnological factors is due to agroecological features of the territory; spatial-temporal characteristics of crop yields depend on the landscape and ecological diversity of the respective territories; it is proved that the invariance of the relationship between the dynamic characteristics of crop yields and the landscape-ecological features of the territories is the basis for the allocation of agro-ecological zones. The obtained results were used and implemented in private farms of agricultural purpose («Dovira» in Sukha Mayachka village of Novi Sanzhary area of Poltava region and «Agroecology» in Mikhailyky village of Shishaky area of Poltava region) in order to maintain of biodiversity and agroecological zoning of territories.
