Essay

The thesis comprises a theoretical investigation of novel effects in nanoelectromechanical systems such as electric and magnetic single-electron shuttle with partially spin-polarized electrons and thermo-induced single-electron shuttle, as well as the construction of the theory of thermoelectric effects in spintronic molecular transistors. The influence of partial polarization on the instability domain of the electric and magnetic shuttle has been investigated. The operation principle of the thermally driven single-electron shuttle has been shown. A new friction mechanism in nanoelectromechanical systems has been proposed. Figure of merit of spintronic thermoelectric, based on a quantum dot, and of molecular transistor, based on elastically deformed metallic carbon nanotube, has been optimized.
