Babiy H. Mechanisms of investment-innovative processes activation in Ukrainian-Polish cross-border region

Object of research: investment-innovation processes in the Ukrainian-Polish cross-border region. Objective: studying the theoretical and methodological principles and measures aimed at improving the functioning of mechanisms to enhance investment and innovation in Ukrainian-Polish cross-border region at the present stage of European integration. Methods: monographic, economic comparisons, sociological research, analysis and synthesis, econometrics, scientific observation, scientific generalizations, graphical visualization. The novelty: for the first time systematically boosting investment and innovation processes in the cross-border region by the criterion of their functional orientation is systematized, resulting in the selection of five basic mechanisms of activation of investment and innovation processes in the cross-border region, organizational, economic, financial, market, and social information; the scientific tool for investigating the influence of certain elements of the socio-psychological environment on the development of investment-innovation processes in the transboundary region, conceptual basis to stimulate the development of innovative forms of cross-border cooperation between neighboring border regions of Ukraine and Poland, grounded, unlike existing on the achievements of the knowledge economy, including the implementation of socio-economic space Ukrainian-Polish cross-border region backbone elements of the creative economy to ensure qualitative changes in the transfer of innovative technologies, renewable energy development, commercialization of innovation, formation and functioning modern cross-border innovation institutions, etc. were improved. Scope: in the policy of the Department of Lviv Regional State Administration in the development of policy documents and conducting business meetings with businessmen from neighboring provinces bordering Poland and in international economic forums; Yavoriv District Council of Lviv Region when planning measures on cross-border cooperation at the district level; Lviv Chamber of Commerce and Industry when working with business entities of the region in order to increase their innovative potential on the basis of intensification of investment cooperation with Polish entrepreneurs; Agency of Yavoriv Local Economic Development in the implementation of the international project "Development of entrepreneurship by improving access to investment areas in the city Lubaczow and district Lubaczow, as well as restoration of degraded land of Yavoriv district and city Novyy Yavoriv".
