Miniailenko I. Scientific and practical basis of strategic planning of spatial development of the region

The aim of dissertation is develop the scientific and methodical outlines of strategic planning of the spatial development of the region and to develop practical recommendations on the selection and implementation of spatial development strategies of the region. The object of research is the process of formation and implementation of strategic planning of spatial development of the region. To achieve these objectives the following methods were used: dialectical; comparative and structural analysis; trend and economic and statistical analysis; ranking; economic and mathematical modeling; strategic planning. Novelty and the main results of the research: scientific and methodical approach to strategic planning of spatial development of the region was proposed; methodical outlines of evaluation of resource potential of spatial development of the region and its components (production, labor, consumer, innovative, investment, infrastructure) were developed; methodical tools for determining the optimal investment provision of strategies for spatial development of the region was proposed; content of notion «spatial development of the region» was clarified; principles of strategic management of spatial development of the region were defined; conceptual approach to the choice of strategic planning model for spatial development of the region was proposed; practical recommendations for the improvement of strategic planning of spatial development of the Poltava region were developed.
