The thesis is devoted to the study and comparison of the peculiarities of the structure of normal and fasciated shoots of species of the family Cactaceae A.L. Juss. collection’s of the Fomin Botanical Garden and their initiation in vitro. As a result of the conducted research, was revealed anatomical and morphological differences between of the fasciated and the normal stems of the Mammillaria elongatа DC. and Cereus peruvianus Mill. It has been found that M. elongata and C. peruvianus with the change of the shape of growth from normal to cristata or monstrosa, changing the shape of the cross section of the stem, the number of conductive beams of the central cylinder, their characteristic location, the area of the epidermal cells and the cells of the cortex and the core. We have found that the anatomical and morphological structure of normal and fasciated stems M. elongata and C. peruvianus is differ in seven indices. It has been investigated that both fastiated and normal shoots, grafted аnd intact investigated species of plants are associated with viral lesion, exept С. peruvianus f. monstrosa. Viral particles belong to the genera Carlavirus, Potexvirus, Tobamovirus and Tritimovirus.
