Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the improvement of the diagnosis effectiveness and treatment of knee osteoarthritis (OA) patients by studying serum leptin levels, the LEPR gene Q223R polymorphism (rs1137101), the condition of leg muscles and inclusion in the treatment of a dosed isometric exercise. For the first time, the polymorphism of the LEPR gene Q223R(rs1137101) in the population of women with OA was researched and rapid progression of OA in the carriers of the genotype AG and GG was detected. The research of the effect of dosed isometric physical activity on the level of leptin, the intensity of pain syndrome, the severity of clinical symptoms and the quality of life of patients with OA, gives the base to recommend adding it to the comprehensive treatment of the disease.
