The dissertation presents the results of studies of biological and ecological features of two species and 22 cultivars of climbing roses of the genus Rosa L. Phenological phases, rhythms of growth and development of Rosa lianas and their consistency with the climatic conditions of the study area were investigated. Quantitative parameters and qualitative characteristics of the vegetative and generative organs have been established. Complex evaluation of flowering and fruiting was carried out. Winter and drought tolerance of species and varieties have been studied and promising ones have been identified.
