The thesis was devoted to the survey of urban vascular flora in Dnipro city, key biotopes and trends of its long-term anthropogenic transformation. According to the survey results, it was found that the species composition of urban flora had decreased by 50 species (from 982 to 932 species) over 130 years. At the same time, 327 plant species recorded at the end of the 19th century were not found within modern territory of the city. The Flora species list was replenished with 277 plant species. Analysis conducted on adventive fraction of historical flora showed that abundance of vascular species amounted 17.8% of total number of species (982); this is significantly less than the species abundance in the named fraction of modern flora (28.2%). Using the index of synanthropization it was determined that flora of the city was more synanthropized in comparison with other large European cities, and on the index of apophytization it emerged conditionally resistant to adventization.
