Golubkova I. Biological and ecological features of the genus Persica Мill. in the Right Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, the use

Dissertation is devoted to research of biological, ecological, biochemical and allelopathic features of two species of the genus Persica Mill. (P. davidiana Caar., P. vulgaris Mill.) in the Right Вank of Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The systematic position and species composition of the genus Persica was analyzed. The natural habitat, history of species introduction in Ukraine and introduction to the culture was described. Features of seasonal rhythm passing, growth and development, dependence on the sums of effective temperatures of vegetative and generative organs were found out. Winter and drought resistance, reproductive ability of peach plants were studied. The introduction results are summarized and an assessment of the success and prospects of cultivation of Persica in the Right-Bank Forest Steppe of Ukraine were made.
