Essay

The dynamics of age and sex differences according to morphological and biochemical blood parameters of ducks in cross «Blagovarskyi» have been determined. It has been established that reliable changes of absolute indices in body weight of ducks’ tubular bones in cross «Blagovarskyi» from hatching to the 483rd day occurred in the following periods: moderate increase from the 1st to 90th day, and on the 341st day, and the decrease – on the 268th day. It is proved that reliable changes in linear measurements of the (absolute) tubular bones of stylopodium and zeigopodium of ducks in cross «Blagovarskyi» from hatching to 483th days occur in the following age periods: intensive growth of tubular bones from the 1st to 90th (196th – depending on the tubular bone) days, a slowdown in growth rates – from 90th (196th) to 268th days, a moderate increase in growth rates – from 268th to 341th days and a decrease – from 341th to 483rd days. On the basis of linear measurements an allometry is established and indices of ducks’ tubular bones are determined which reliable vary depending on age. According to histological studies, the structure of compact bone tissue in the middle part of diaphysis stylopodium limbs acquires a definitive state of ducks’ (females and males) in cross «Blagovarskyi» on the 196th day of the postnatal period of ontogenesis. In females, the brain-bone cavity of the femur is filled with medullary (brain) bone tissue from 196th to 483rd days during postnatal ontogenesis. For the first time it has been determined the biomechanical indices of the tubular bones of ducks in cross «Blagovarskyi» varies depending on the age, sex and position of the bone in limb skeleton, the saturation of compact bone tissue with the content of Calcium and Phosphorus salts. New indices concerning macroelements’ content (ionized calcium and inorganic phosphorus) in the middle part of tubular bones diaphysis of ducks were obtained which vary depending on age and sex.
