Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the issues of development the rolling disk shaped milling cutter for machining circular saw blades with variable pitch of a given profile of chip grooves and with a predetermined accuracy of pitch. Based on the general provisions of the theory of shaping surfaces by rolling disk shaped milling cutter, a theory of their design has been developed for machining cut-off saws with an uneven pitch in a group. Based on the developed theory the design of the rolling disk shaped milling cutter has been developed. The geometrical parameters of the cutting part have been investigated in the process of cutting and the influence on them of the design parameters of circular saw blades with variable pitch. The results of laboratory and industrial verification of the research results are presented and aimed at verifying theoretical dependencies to determine the design and installation parameters when cutting teeth with variable pitch of a given accuracy on a gear milling machine. For the first time, a technique of designing round cutters with uneven pitch was developed, which was reflected in the proposed CAD cutter scheme. Laboratory and industrial verification of research results confirmed the results of theoretical studies. It is shown that the accuracy of the machined circular saw blades with variable pitch significantly exceeds the accuracy compared to copying methods.
