Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of the theoretical positions of development of regional pharmaceutical markets. The conditions of development and main tendencies of regional pharmaceutical markets are investigated. An approach to the analysis of trends in the formation and development of regional pharmaceutical markets has been developed, firstly assessing the impact of the following groups of factors: demographic, economic, medical, pharmaceutical and environmental. A model for assessing the effectiveness of functioning of regional pharmaceutical markets of the levels of efficiency within the framework of the proposed scale of linguistic terms, depending on the given indicators (retail trade turnover with pharmaceutical products, medical and orthopedic goods, cosmetic goods and toiletries), has been formed. Models of evaluation of the attractiveness of pharmaceutical markets and the state of the pharmaceutical market based on gravity models and their modifications are formed, as well as the dominance of individual regions and the new structure of the pharmaceutical market depending on the elasticity of the reaction of pharmaceutical companies in the context of the considered market factors. The approach of cluster analysis of regional pharmaceutical markets has been improved and clusters formed which, taking into account the requirements of the system approach, can be considered as separate segments of such a market, as well as determine the directions of optimization and formation of the overall effective structure of the pharmaceutical market in Ukraine. The decision support system for determining the ways to improve the functioning of the pharmaceutical market has been refined.
