In dissertation work is solved specific features of the influence of a number of factors on the reliability of the results of evaluation of the quality performance of foam concentrates for fire-fighting were disclosed as basis of raising efficiency of their application for fire-fighting and fire protection of facilities. In particular, a number of parameters were revealed of free burning processes of n-heptane, petrol, and naphtha under conditions of testing involving extinguishing of test fires as well as processes of interaction of low and medium expansion foam generated of foam solutions of a number of general and special purpose foam concentrates with flame when extinguishing these combustible liquids. Methodology was developed for the estimation of influence of the method and parameters of foam application and some other factors upon fire fighting efficiency of low expansion foam when extinguishing combustible liquids as well as that for the determination of temperature range of application of foam concentrates. Necessity was substantiated and correction was done of the standardized list of quality performance of foam concentrates and some of their values as well as appropriate test methods for their evaluation. Some ways of raising reliability of the results of the tests for the determination of quality performance of foam concentrates were substantiated using available methods of mathematical treatment of experimental results.
