Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the solution of the actual scientific and technical problem of increasing the efficiency of fire fighting in basements by combined use of smoke extractor and water spray. A generalized mathematical model that describes the physical processes of interaction of water spray jets with heated and contaminated combustion products of fire is developed. The construction of a device based on the smoke extractor ДП-7M, where a jet of fine sprayed water is fed into the room simultaneously with the flow of air. The parameters of the device are scientifically substantiated, the circuit solutions are proposed, and its efficiency is proved. The instrument for measuring the optical density of smoke was developed. The conditions of effective increase of the optical visibility and the decrease of the average volumetric temperature of the room were proved experimentally. The speeds of movement of the GSPS units movement under conditions of different visibility characteristics in the basement were determined. The methodical recommendations for the deposition of combustion products and the reduction of the average volumetric temperature in the basement rooms in cases of fire extinguishing using the smoke extractor together with the device for supplying finely sprayed water were developed and tested.
