Essay

The purpose of the dissertation research is to identify the main trends and peculiarities of the European-Atlantic dimension of the transformation of Ukraine's foreign policy by analyzing the content and nature of the EU-NATO relations with Ukraine in 1991-2015, identifying priorities, achievements, problems of cooperation and prospects for membership in these organizations. The object of the research is the foreign policy of Ukraine in the system of international relations in 1991-2015. The subject of the study is the general tendencies and peculiarities of the transformation of Ukraine's foreign policy towards the European-Atlantic integration processes during the specified period. The methodological basis of the work are the principles of objectivity and historicism and general science (analysis, synthesis, comparison, induction and deduction, abstraction and specification, etc.), special-historical (historical and genetic, historical and chronological, historical and comparative, systemic and structural , historical and typological), as well as systemic, interdisciplinary and pluralistic approaches based on the integrated application of the whole set of sources from a problem having a common spatial and temporal localization and subject area. The practical significance of the results obtained is the possibility for scientists to use theoretical conclusions and factual material for the preparation of manuals, other teaching materials in higher and secondary schools, as well as in research and educational activities on international topics. Scientific provisions and generalizations will also be useful for politicians, political scientists, internationalists for use in their practical activities.
