Essay

The work is devoted to the investigation of the possibilities of obtaining refractory corrosion and erosion-resistant coatings based on chromium carbides inside long-length channels of small section and deep cavities with a high deposition rate, as well as obtaining composite materials with refractory matrix and high impregnation (95-96%) at temperatures of 400-550°C. A production method has been developed and chromium carbides coatings on the inner surface of long-length channels of small cross section (0.3–7 mm2) with high deposition rates (10–15 μm/min) have been obtained. A method for obtaining composite materials by the method of impregnation by deposition from the gas phase is developed, which provides a 95-96% filling of volume. It is shown that the corrosion and erosion resistance of chromium carbides coatings obtained from the technical product chromium organic liquid (СrOL) "Barkhos" significantly exceeds the resistance of constructive materials widely used in industrial production. The increased resistance of coatings from chromium carbides in comparison with the stability of the components incoming in their composition is due to nanoscale structural elements of the coating and their layered structure. It is shown that the high penetrating ability of reagent vapors during the deposition process allows filling microcracks and pores on the surface to be coated, and provides a smoothing effect, reducing the surface roughness in hard-to-reach areas.
