Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving the actual scientific problem of the determination of the mechanisms and basic regularities of physical processes occurring under the influence of ionizing radiation on the physical properties of amber, quartz glass and nanocomposite layers. Experimental studies of the processes of changing the energy of electron transitions in amber under X-ray photons and in quartz glass under the influence of hydrogen and helium ions with energy of 280-1600 keV was carried out. At irradiation of amber by UV photons, two energy transitions corresponding to the peaks of relaxation glow with energies 2,45 and 2,95 eV are excited, and under the action of X-ray quanta the energy of these levels shifts by 0,25 eV (2,25 and 2,7 eV). In the case of silica, X-ray quanta do not change the energy of the most intensive transition, but even a small dose of irradiation by particles with high specific losses leads to a permanent unidirectional change in the energy level from 3.1 to 2.7 eV.
