Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the elucidation of biochemical changes in the body of white rats of different age and sex with experimental obesity and in conditions of correction with iodine supplements. It was established that in experimental obesity, Jodis-Concentrate and Iodomarine have a positive effect on lipid (content of triacylglycerols, cholesterol, HDL, LDL) and fatty acid profile, hormonal status (level of insulin, thyroxine and triiodothyronine), activity of AlAT, AsAT, alkaline phosphatase, the content of total protein, glucose) in blood serum, suppresses the prooxidant processes (decreases the concentration of TBARS and diene conjugates) and enhance the activity of the antioxidant system (increases the active of SOD and catalase) in blood serum. Iodine supplements also improve the structural organization of the liver and thyroid.
