Object: biomechanical features of the walking of patients with coxarthrosis with a reduced of hip abductors lever before and after hip arthroplasty. Aim: to improve the results of treatment of patients after the hip arthroplasty on the basis of new data on the effect of reducing the length of the hip abductors lever on the walking function. Methods: roentgenometric, graphoanalytical modeling, modeling of the dynamics of walking, biomechanical studies of walking using the GaitRite complex; control of biomechanical parameters of patients before and after a special course of rehabilitation to restore symmetry of walking, statistical. New knowledge on the effect of reducing the length of the lever on the action of the abductors of the thigh after total hip arthroplasty in support of pelvic equilibrium with uniaxial standing and walking biomechanics. The peculiarities of the dynamics of changes in the biomechanical parameters of walking in patients with stored and reduced length of the lever of the action of the abductors of the hip during the observation process - up to the operation, one year after the operation and in the remote period 5-7 years after the total hip arthroplasty were studied. The necessity of maintaining the length of the lever of the forces of the abductors of the thigh during total hip arthroplasty of the hip joint is proved, as an important factor in the restoration of the symmetry of patients walking after surgical intervention. A new way of restoring the symmetry of the walking of a person (patent number 126691 UA) and a special rehabilitation complex of exercise therapy with the restoration of symmetry of patients walking are developed, which allow to effectively restore the symmetry of walking in patients with diminished size of the lever of the forces of the abductors of the thigh after the hip arthroplasty.
