Object of research: processes of financial support for the development of cross-border cooperation. Purpose: to develop theoretical and methodical approaches and practical recommendations for improving the financial support of cross-border cooperation. Methods: logical generalization, analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization and grouping, statistical, systemic and functional, economic and mathematical modeling. Novelty: the terminological apparatus of the study has been refined in terms of refining the essential interpretation of the concept of "financial provision of CBC", which is proposed to be regarded as a system of relations for the accumulation and transformation of available financial resources, the identification and attraction of potential sources of funding to achieve common benefits and benefits in various areas of activity in both border entities by actors and participants in cross-border cooperation within the competences defined by their national legislation; the approach to substantiating the mechanism of financial provision of CBC as a complex of clearly defined and interrelated tools, levers, methods and forms of financing of entities and participants of CBC; methodical approach to the assessment of the integration potential of the border areas on the basis of the definition of indicators for the development of CBC, which are systematized in the context of economic, technical and technological, financial, development of education, science and culture, intersection, control, security, mobility and migration across borders, the CBC strategy, which includes long-term goals and includes financing mechanism, financial instruments for its provision and is based on the identification of such risks as: financial, strategic, operational, threats and dangers, cross-border divergence are improved. Scope of application: in the activity of the Department of Finance of the Lviv Regional State Administration when developing the Regional Program for International and Cross-Border Cooperation, European Integration for 2018-2020, Inspection of Plant Protection and Seed Production in the city of Rzeszów, Subcarpathian Voivodship of Poland, in assessing the state of integration potential of the border areas on the basis of the indicator approach, in the educational process of the Bronislav Markevich State Technical University of Economics in Jaroslaw in teaching disciplines "Regional economy", "State regulation of the economy", "Macroeconomics".
