Essay

The thesis is devoted to viruses that infect plants of forest stands of Polissya. According to the results of this study, plants of forest stands of Polissya are infected with tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), carla- and ilarviruses etc. TMV was first detected and identified in Norway maple (Acer platanoides L.). It was established, that TMV occurs in single and mixed infections with CMV, Pseudomonas spp., carla- and nepoviruses etc. A map of the geographical distribution of viruses infecting forest plants in Polissya has been created. It was clarified the structural and serological properties of TMV, that was isolated from Norway maple. It was researched the influence of modeled microgravity on inclusion bodies of TMV. According to the results of this study, formation of TMV inclusion bodies under microgravitation conditions is slowed down compared to formation under normal conditions. Clinostating was proposed to use for treating diseases caused by TMV. It was screened the bioorganic substances isolated from mushrooms, that stimulate the growth and development of Norway maple trees. Polyclonal rabbit antibodies against TMV, that can be used for diagnosis of TMV infection was obtained.
