The dissertation is devoted to the estimation of geomorphological and lithological features of the sea and river bottom by determining its geoacoustic parameters. The existing research on the study of the geomorphology of the bottom of water areas and surface layers of bottom sediments by geological and geophysical methods is generalized. The method of determination of geoacoustic parameters of the surface layers of bottom sediments and the allocation of their lithological types by processing information of the hydrogeocoacous complex is developed. The developed technique has been tested in the field studies of the bottom geomorphology and surface layers of the Black Sea sediments and the Dnipro River basin by comparing the results with the results of sampling. A specialized database of geological and lithological information, developed on the basis of the results of complex geological and geoacoustic research, was developed. The geomorphological and lithological features of separate regions of the Black Sea and the Dnieper River according to geoacoustic data are analyzed.
