Technological process of combined purge of converter bath with oxygen and neutral gas. Scientific substantiation and development of new energy efficient technology with the use of two-tier oxygen lance and a modernized system of supplying two independently regulated flows of oxygen and nitrogen. Methods of thermodynamic and numerical analysis, theory of metallurgical processes, high-temperature modeling. A new method of combined blowing converter bath is developed. With the use of high-temperature modeling, new information on the expedient form of reaction zone organization of interaction with the converter bath of super- and sonic oxygen jets was obtained, favorable modes of access to the surface of the foamed slag-metal emulsion of CO fluxes with the afterburning of the latter and the prevention of local wear of converters mouth. Additional control effects of the foamed slag-metal emulsion state were established.
