The dissertation is devoted to increasing the efficiency of finishing single pass grinding of the cylindrical surface of the shaft with the periphery of the oriented circle. A modular three-dimensional modeling of the tool, the processes of removal of the allowance by the periphery of the circle by the coordinate of machining and shaping by a calibration section located on the axis of the circle rotation during finishing single pass grinding of the cylindrical shaft surface is developed. The developed techniques for controlling the orientation of the grinding wheel during the processing of the cylindrical surface of the shaft. The angle of rotation of the tool is taken depending on the amount of the allowance and the height of the circle when the condition for ensuring the maximum amount of allowance at the point of cutting the circle and its uniform reduction to the calibration section, which provides the final shaping of the part surface. A three-dimensional model of the process of a part deformation from a plastic material by a single abrasive grain has been developed. The influence of the angle of grain placement relative to the workpiece surface on the magnitude and distribution of the deformation force along the abrasive grain profile is determined. An experimental research of finishing single pass grinding of a cylindrical shaft surface with the periphery of oriented circle has been carried out. The temperature distribution during processing, amount of the temperature in the grinding zone, the power value and the roughness of the machined surface of the part are determined. A new effective method for finishing single pass grinding of a shaft with the periphery of an oriented circle has been developed.
