Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the experimental studies of the physical properties of amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys. The structure, crystallization processes, thermal stability, magnetic and electrical properties of the new type of Fe-B-P-Nb-Cr system alloys and several other groups of alloys - Fe-Cu-Si-B(-Nb) and Co-Fe-Mo-Si-B were investigated. The structure parameters of amorphous alloys were determined by X-ray diffraction. The influence of boron content on the structure of the Fe-B-P-Nb-Cr system alloys was determined. The effect of heat treatment on the structure and magnetic properties of alloys was demonstrated. Optimum heat treatment conditions for achieving good soft magnetic properties were defined. From the analysis of the experimental dependences of magnetic susceptibility the values of localized magnetic moments were calculated. Based on previously developed ideas about the clustering processes in amorphous alloys, it was shown that the obtained values of magnetic moments are caused by the formation of magnetic inhomogeneities. Some features of the electrical properties of the investigated alloys were studied. The temperature behavior of electrical resistance of Fe-B-P-Nb-Cr alloys was investigated for the first time.
