Essay

The dissertation presents the solution of the scientific problem, which consists in determining and evaluating the preventive effect of the combined use of vitamins D3 and E on the development of changes in the structural and functional state of bone and cartilage tissue in experimental glucocorticoid-induced osteochondropathy. Prolonged administration of prednisolone to experimental animals has been shown to lead to significant structural and functional changes in bone and cartilage tissues that can be interpreted as advanced glucocorticoid-induced osteochondropathy. The more positive preventive effect of the simultaneous use of vitamins D3 and E on changes in mineral and D-vitamin metabolism in experimental animals with glucocorticoid-induced osteochondropathy compared to the action of one vitamin D3. It is established that the combined use of vitamins D3 and E provides maximum preservation of histomorphological structure of the femur in animals that have been modeled with glucocorticoid-induced osteochondropathy A more positive preventive effect of vitamins D3 and E on changes in the structure and histomorphometric parameters of the articular cartilage of the proximal femur epiphysis compared to the effect of one vitamin D3 on the background of development of glucocorticoid-induced osteochondropathy was revealed. Significant prophylactic effect of co-administration of vitamins D3 and E on changes in histomorphological and histomorphometric parameters of epiphyseal cartilage of the proximal femur epimetaphysis against the background of glucocorticoid-induced osteochondropathy compared with the action of one vitamin D3.
