Object to study: Russian-Romanian military-political relations. Purpose of the research: to carryout a comprehensive analysis of the problems of bilateral Russian-Romanian military-political relations during 1914–1918 and their impact on the course of the World War I. Methods: deduction, induction, analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, historical-genetic, comparative-historical, structural-functional, historical-typological, problem-chronological, method of periodization. Novelty: the problem has not been the subject of a special research before. Comprehensive analysis of the Russian-Romanian relations formation in the conditions of the WW I beginning has been carried out. The influence of Great Britain and France on the relations has been determined. The main causes and consequences of the Russian-Romanian armies` military defeat in the autumn of 1916 have been identified. The role of military and material assistance provided by the empire to the Romanian side has been considered. The impact of the political reforms, which were implemented by the Provisional Government at the Romanian Front, upon the relations has been examined. The author has also found out how Russian-Romanian relations divided into Ukrainian-Romanian, Moldovan-Romanian and Soviet-Romanian, that took place under the influence of internal political events in the former Russian Empire. Practical importance: the results of the dissertation theses can be used to carry out further researches, as educational literature, to complete programs and special courses in world history, history of diplomacy and other subjects. Field of using: educational process.
