Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the development of a low - speed DC generator with a windless rotor for wind power installation. The scientific results are: 1) New designs of a DC generator with a windless rotor were first proposed, differing from the existing counterparts by the absence of a common yoke and open on both sides of the stator slots, which allowed to weaken the anchor response and increase the current overload capacity; 2) The formula for calculating the magnetic field strength coefficient was obtained for the first time, which allowed to determine the magnitude of the effect of the armature transverse response on the magnetic field of a DC generator with a winding rotor; 3) Constructional constant for a DC generator with a winding rotor has been improved, which takes into account the features of this machine: dual magnetic flux and utilization rate; 4) The mathematical model for determining the dependence of the specific magnetic conductivity of the open on both sides of the groove on its geometric dimensions was further developed, which made it possible to determine the magnitude of the reactive electromotive force of the switched section of a direct current generator with a windless rotor. The proposed design makes it possible to reduce the power and cost of the wind power plant while maintaining the wind capacity while keeping the amount of energy produced unchanged.
