Essay

The thesis is aimed at solving an important scientific and technical problem of improving the technology of rocks explosive destruction by changing the mechanical properties of the environment in the near explosion zone due to preliminary treatment with solutions of surface-active substances (surfactants). It was determined that saturation of the boreholes surface with organic surfactants solution allows creating a surface plastic layer and reducing overgrowing of rocks during an explosion. New methods were proposed for preventing the restoration of the initial strength of the destroyed rock mass after blasting, involving the use of solid inert components in the explosive charge. A drilling and blasting process has been developed, which includes drilling boreholes, charging them with explosives and installing an initiation system, and differs in that prior to boreholes charging with explosives, their surface is pre-saturated with a surfactant solution. This contributed to a decrease in the diameter of the middle piece and a decrease in the yield of the over-crushed fraction.
