Essay

This thesis deals with relevant scientific and applied task of improving the technology for evaluating the quality of offset thermosensitive printing forms by creation of integral model for determining their physical, structural and integral parameters. Improvement of the quality evaluation technology of the printing forms was evaluated by determining the physical and structural parameters of their structural layers using physical research methods. The methods of determining the morphological parameters of the polymer layers and the surface of the printing form basis; the adhesion strength of the image registration polymer layers to the surface of the printing form basis, taking into account technical properties of the image recording in the system; surface energy of the printing form image areas and adhesion to ink layer; chemical composition of the image registration polymer layer of printing forms were developed as well as the methods for assessing the affect of thermal processes of laser radiation and the temperature gradient on the surface structure of polymer layers of printing forms and on the formation and quality of reproduction of image elements. Based on the application of methods for determining the integral indicators of the quality of reproduction of binary image elements in the computer-to-plate system the ratio between the structural and physical properties of the offset ther-mosensitive printing forms and its integral quality indicators was determined. Keywords: thermosensitive plate, offset printing form, surface micro geome-try, adhesion, integral parameters, function of modulation transfer.
