Layered gabbroid intrusions represent an object of high interest in terms of both fundamental scientific and prospecting research as they possess enormous ore-bearing potential. Gabbroic intrusions of Wilhelm Archipelago were previously considered as a part of a single collective gabbro-diorite-granite suite under at least five coexisting and even contradicting each other names and also correlated to several others. Such classification introduces ambiguity and impedes international cooperation and research progress.
