Essay

The work is devoted to the study of the formation and evolution of the structure of adsorbed water layer on the surface of zirconia nanoparticles, which were synthesized at different temperatures and were in ambient conditions with different humidity levels, and its effect on electrophysical properties of a compacted nanopowder system of particles with different degrees of hydration. The effect of charge accumulation by compacted zirconia nanoparticles which depends on the particle size and degree of hydration of surface of the particles was detected. The critical value of degree of hydration of the compacted nanoparticles (35%) is determined, after which a sharp increase in charge accumulation in the compacted nanoparticles is occurs.
