Ilika V. Pathological anatomy of chorioamnionitis and basal deciduitis in pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia

The dissertation presents a generalization and a new solution to the topical scientific and practical problem of medicine - improvement of pathological diagnosis of acute and chronic forms of chorioamnionitis and basal deciduitis with determination of inflammatory morphological differences in the foci of inflammation of the chorionic or basal plates of the placenta and beyond (chorionic villi) which are caused by iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women, with clarification of certain aspects of the pathogenesis of the inflammatory process in the placenta, in particular, in relation to some features of free radical processes. The solution of the problem and substantiation of the obtained results were achieved due to macroscopic, histological, histochemical, immunohistochemical, chemiluminescent, morphometric and statistical research methods.
