Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the detection and study of geoelectric inhomogeneities of the earth's crust and upper mantle of the Kocheriv section of the western part of the Ukrainian Shield on the basis of construction of 3D models of electric resistance distribution according to experimental MT/MV data. Explanation of the nature of the detected geoelectric inhomogeneities based on the results of a comprehensive analysis of geological and geoelectric data and their study as one of the factors in the manifestation of geodynamic processes for the search for ore occurrences of minerals. Qualitative interpretation of complex tipper and MTS curves revealed anomalies of high electrical conductivity (several surface and one deep) in the earth's crust of the Kocheriv area. The analysis of MTS curves shows a heterogeneous three-dimensional situation over the entire study area, the anomalies are characterized by different electrical conductivity, depth and configuration. A three-dimensional geoelectric model is constructed and analyzed in which a series of conductors is selected: from the surface up to 5 m a large number of differently oriented conductors with ρ - 100 and 250 Ohm•m, in most cases they are above tectonic faults; in the northern part of the tablet at depths from 0,2 to 5 km a conductor was found which spatially corresponds to the Kocheriv synclinorium - 15 km wide and 10 km long with ρ - 100 Ohm•m; at depths of 0,2-0,5 and 0,2-2 km there is a series of elongated in most cases in the submeridional direction of the conductors, with ρ - 100 and 250 Ohm•m, they correspond to the main deep faults of the region - Vilensky, Ogievsky, Pogrebyshchesky, Velykoerchykivsky and Samgorodsky; at depths from 0,5 to 11 km at the intersection of multidirectional deep faults, a conductor of sublatitudinal extension 10 km long and 45 km wide appeared, dipping from west to east, changing ρ from 250 in the upper part to 100 Ohm•m in the lower part; the regional Chernivtsi-Korosten anomaly with ρ - 20 Ohm•m was confirmed at depths from 15 to 30 km. The selected conductivity anomalies are confined to the elongated zones of metasomatosis and areas of distribution of graphitized rocks, part of the surface anomalies is confined to the areas of the weathering crust of rocks. Most anomalies are confined to ore occurrences and mineral deposits: in the northern part, niobium, tantalum, beryllium, lithium, rubidium, cerium, tungsten, gold, copper; in the southern part - iron, titanium, gold, nickel, zirconium, uranium, yttrium. In the dissertation research it is shown that the manifestations of seismic activity are associated with anomalies of high electrical conductivity and their marginal parts. Manifestations of seismicity within the Kocheriv section are confined to the electrically conductive zone of intersections of the sublatitudinal Samgorodsky and faults surrounding it from north to south (Varvarivsky, Velykoerchykivsky, etc.), and deeper in the earth's crust to the southern border of the regional Chernivtsi-Korosten
