Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the ways to ensure invariance of mechanic paper pulp consistometers to applicable non-informative parameters by means of managing the sensitive elements of mechanic consistometers in a way that would eliminate the impact of non-informative parameters and would improve the metrological qualities of consistometers, which would enhance the measurement precision. It was proposed to measure the shear stress torque that affects the sensitive element of the rotational consistometer when it is turning in turn in two preset frequencies, the measurements should be repeated when the movement direction of the sensitive element is reversed, as well as the automated recording and measurements processing system and sensitive element movement management system were proposed. The way was proposed to operate a blade consistometer with an active blade, and an automated system to manage the blade movement that would ensure the steady paper pulp shear speed. This enables use of calibration charts and corrections that compensate the changes in temperature, pressure, and type of paper pulp identical to the ones used in operation of rotational consistometers, and reduction of the impact of paper pulp flow speed on the consistency values. Algorithms were proposed to process the obtained results to ensure reduced inaccuracies in paper pulp consistency measurements.
