Zelinska O. Foreign economic activity activation of the region in the terms of Euroregional cooperation

The thesis improves the conceptual vision of foreign economic activity activation of the region in terms of Euroregional cooperation, which defines it as a purposeful impact on the interregional socio-economic systems development and creating favorable conditions for strengthening international cooperation by defining the strategic guidelines for foreign economic relations establishing, mechanism for their achievement and expansion of Euroregional cooperation forms. Foreign experience analysis of Euroregional cooperation and foreign economic activity development is carried out. The methodology of foreign economic activity diagnostics of the region is improved. It is realized in the following sequence: determination of features of foreign economic activity of the country and its regions; analysis of Euroregional cooperation with the participation of the regions of Ukraine; assessment of the region's foreign economic activity in the terms of Euroregional cooperation; substantiation of directions of foreign economic activity activization of the region in the terms of Euroregional cooperation. This makes it possible to define strategic guidelines and expand the forms of foreign economic activity intensification. The analysis of foreign economic activity of the region in the terms of Euroregional cooperation has been provided. It forecasts selection, systematization, standardization of statistical indicators, implementation of integrated assessment of foreign economic activity on the basis of complex application of econometric tools. The development of Euroregional cooperation with the participation of the regions of Ukraine is analyzed. The modeling of the region's foreign economic activity process is carried out on the basis of complex application of econometric tools for assessing the impact of foreign economic activity indicators (foreign direct investment, exports and imports per capita) on the resulting indicator of socio-economic development of the region, where the gross regional income per capita (GRI) which makes it possible to identify promising directions for foreign economic relations activation, the stimulation of the development of which will contribute to the growth of quantitative indicators of foreign economic activity activation in the context of Euroregional cooperation. Strategic guidelines for foreign economic activity activation have been identified, taking into account the experience of Euroregional cooperation between the EU countries. The mechanism of foreign economic activity activation of the region in the context of Euroregional cooperation has been improved, which is based on the use of the experience of the European Community countries in the context of the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the Member States of EU. It is a holistic set of specific tools, management tools of influence on the establishment of foreign economic relations of the region in order to effectively use the opportunities of Euroregional cooperation to stimulate socio-economic development of the region and improve the quality of life. Recommendations for foreign economic activity activation of the region in the terms of Euroregional cooperation due to the development of such areas and forms as economic cooperation of Euroregional structures (Euroregional partnership, Euroregional projects, Euroregional clusters, Euroregional business models), foreign trade (export and export operations, innovation and logistics models), joint economic activity (Working Communities, Euroregional associations and alliances, Eurodistricts) have been substantiated.
