Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the scientific problem concerning the elucidation of the sexual features of metabolic processes in immobilization stress in rats depending on the resistance to hypoxia. High innate resistance to hypoxia is associated with greater potency of the antioxidant system (superoxide dismutase activity is higher in males by 37.3 %, in females – by 20.7 %; ceruloplasmin content in males – by 18.1 %, in females – by 33.1%), less accumulation of TBA-active products (in males – by 6.8 %, in females – by 8 %), increased content of anti-inflammatory cytokines (in males – IL-4 by 24.7 %, in females – IL-10 by 37.4 %) and lower tone of the sympathetic part of the autonomic nervous system (the amplitude of moda is less in males – by 70.1 %; in females – by 39 %). Immobilization stress with four repetitions and an interval of 24 hours significantly increases the content in the blood of lipid peroxidation products, including TBA-active products (in highly resistant to hypoxia males - 4.7 times, in low-resistant – 3.1 times, in highly resistant to hypoxia of females – in 4.4 times, in low-resistant – in 4 times). However, all animals increase the content of Schiff bases, nitrite anion, circulating immune complexes, decreases the content of oxidatively modified proteins (λ=370). This significantly increases the superoxide dismutase and catalase activity in females, the content of ceruloplasmin in males. Blood peroxidase activity decreases in all animals, the content of reduced glutathione only in females. Immobilization stress with four repetitions and an interval of 72 hours is accompanied by the most significant increase in the content of lipid peroxidation products in low-resistance to hypoxia rats-males (diene conjugates – in 6 times, triene conjugates – in 6.8 times, TBA-active products – in 5.8 times). In males and highly resistant to hypoxia females, the content of Schiff bases are reduced. In all animals, the content of nitrite anion circulating immune complexes increases significantly, the content of oxidatively modified proteins λ=370 decreases. In highly resistant to hypoxia rats-femal, in all females increase the content of ceruloplasmin, decreases blood peroxidase activity, indixes of the glutathione system.
