Essay

The work is based on an analysis of the results of diagnosis and treatment of 137 patients with the consequences of traumatic injuries of the trichophalangeal fingers in the form of fixation and arthrogenic contractures of the PIP of the fingers. Patients with contractures were divided into two clinical groups depending on the stability of contracture: the first clinical group (60 patients, of which 47 (78.3%) men and 13 (21.7%) women) were patients with fixative unstable contractures of the IFS of the finger, the second (77 people - 60 (77.9%) men and 17 (22.1%) women) - with persistent arthrogenic contractures of the joints of the fingers. In the observation group, the severity of contractures was determined both by the nature of the damage to the joint structures and by the multiplicity of lesions. More than half of the victims - 78 (56.9%) had isolated injuries, and 59 (43.1%) - multiple. According to this distribution, the restriction of movements in the joints with unstable contractures at the time of treatment was mild and moderate in severity - 44 (73.3%) and 16 (26.7%) patients, respectively, in contrast to the stable, where severe arthrogenic contractures were predominantly and moderate severity - 48 (62.3%) and 29 (37.7%) patients (p<0.001). Each group was randomized into two subgroups: main (a) and comparisons (b). The main subgroups (I-a and II-a) included patients who were treated using original recovery methods, the comparison subgroups (I-b and II-b) - using generally accepted methods.
