Essay

The dissertation research is devoted to the socio-psychological factors that determine the success of the disclosure of personal potential in the professional activities of firefighters and the development on this basis a correctional program aimed optimizing the process of experiencing feasibility in these activities. The results are based on a study of 144 men – firefighters and rescuers from 11 fire and rescue units of the State Emergency Service (SES), conducted on the basis of the training center of the SES of Ukraine, Kyiv. In the course of work has been defined theoretical and methodological approaches to studying of social and psychological determination of professional self-realization of experts of firefighters; empirically established socio-psychological factors that determine the success of professional self-realization of specialists of fire and rescue services; developed and tested a correctional program aimed optimizing the process of experiencing such specialists feasibility in these activities. The results of the program implementation showed empirically significant positive dynamics in the experimental group on all criteria, correlated with the experience of self-realization: social adaptability, emotional intelligence, empathy, the opportunity to interact with other people; communicative properties, tolerant attitude to various actions of others, understanding the meaning of their problems, actualization of the leadership potential of fire and rescue services specialists. The obtained result is the basis for the conclusion about the effectiveness of the implemented program of psychological support.
