Kosheliaeva Y. Health condition of silver birch in the Left-bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine

Object – spatio-temporal dynamics of parameters of the health condition of Silver birch stands; methods: silvicultural – inspection of stands, establishment of sample plots, assessment of the health condition of stands; entomological – an assessment of the injuriousness of insects; dendrochronological – an assessment of the radial growth of trees; statistical – for data analysis; novelty: the age composition and health condition of birch plantations are estimated depending on the origin, and forest site conditions, as well as the prevalence and injuriousness of 22 species of stem insects. Results: the changes in the health condition of forest and park birch stands are evaluated. Insect species capable of influencing the health condition of trees (physiological injuriousness) and wood quality (technical injuriousness) have been identified; scope of use – forestry
