Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to studying of patterns and characteristics of heat transfer process at boiling on felt metal porous surfaces in conditions of limited space above the heat transfer surface. Complex experimental investigation of heat transfer intensity at boiling on porous structures was performed in this work, influence of felt sizes, porosity, structure thickness and height of free space above the heat transfer surface on heat transfer intensity was detected. Physical model of heat and mass transfer process at boiling in conditions of limited space was modified. Empirical equations for calculation of heat transfer intensity at boiling on smooth and porous surfaces in limited space conditions were obtained. These equations take into account characteristics of porous structures in wide range of input heat fluxes. Engineering method of calculation of two phase heat transfer device on example of vapor chamber was developed.
