The dissertation on competition of a scientific degree of the candidate of technical sciences on a specialty 05.15.09 - "Geotechnical and mining mechanics". State Higher Educational Institution National Technical University "Dnipro Polytechnic", Dnipro, 2021. In the dissertation the actual scientific and technical problem of definition of bearing property of piles in which collectors of heat pumps taking into account cyclic freezing - thawing of the soil adjoining to piles is placed is solved. The methods of determination of bearing capacity of piles in which collectors of heat pumps are placed according to field research and by calculation are offered and proved. The method of determining the load-bearing properties of energy piles according to field tests differs from the well-known one in that before testing according to the method described in Ukrainian regulations, the number of freezing cycles stipulated by the test program should be carried out. The method of determining the bearing properties of energy piles by calculation includes: determining the possibility of freezing of the base, determining the effect on the strength of the soil adjacent to the pile of its cyclic freezing and thawing and calculating the bearing properties of the pile. Regularities obtained as a result of research, used in the methods of determining the bearing properties of energy piles and implemented in the practice of production at the following enterprises: "Plant Electronpobutprilad" and LLC "Lvivkompleksbud" in Lviv.
