Essay

Due to the development of distributed energy in Ukraine, considerable attention is paid to the introduction of sources of electricity generation, in particular, wind, solar, small hydropower plants, etc., which run on renewable energy. In recent years, the share of electricity generation sources based on renewable energy sources connected to the unified energy system of Ukraine in total capacity is growing steadily, which is facilitated by the world practice of supporting the construction and location of electricity generation facilities. Today, distribution systems of power supply in Ukraine with voltage of 10 (6) and 35 kV according to technical and technological conditions are operated open, and 110 kV systems are weakly closed or open, powered by system power. The tendency to introduce sources of electricity generation in these power supply systems reduces both the costs of basic fuel and water resources and electricity losses in power supply systems by bringing electricity producers closer to consumers and ensures a clean environment. However, when it is not economically feasible to implement power generation sources, a number of problematic issues arise related to the voltage regimes in the power supply system with power generation sources, as well as their impact on the properties of centralized power supply. Selected locations of electricity generation sources according to the maximum values of nodal specific transport costs, determined values of active and reactive capacities in locations of electricity generation sources according to their types and reduction of total losses of active power in the power supply system are mathematically balanced specific transport costs in the elements of the power supply system. In this case, the total loss of active power and the total value of specific transport costs are directly related to each other – an increase or decrease in one of these values corresponds to an increase or decrease in the other. An illustration of the probability of using the proposed approach to determine economically feasible locations and reasonable values of power generation sources for their implementation in closed power supply schemes is given. Model studies have shown that when determining the active and reactive capacities of electricity generation sources in radial power distribution systems of 10 and 35 kV, the most appropriate is the voltage equal to about 10.5 and 36.5 kV, respectively, at the connection points of electricity producers, including the system power supply. Carrying out of model researches was carried out with use of the developed specialized complex of the technical software.
