Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of genotypic variability of the reaction of the photosynthetic apparatus of winter wheat varieties to the drought, as well as the possibility of increasing plant tolerance to drought by agricultural means. A positive relationship between the main shoot stem dry weight at anthesis and main shoot grain yield was found. This is because the greater attractiveness of the stem can prevent of photosynthesis inhibition by an excess of assimilates, which is produced by the most developed in this period assimilation apparatus. A positive relationship between a dry weight of the flag leaf at anthesis with main shoot grain yield, as well as with yield was established. Thus, it was found that the physiological markers associated with drought resistance of wheat can be the main shoot stem dry weight and of flag leaf at anthesis. It was found that the use of environmentally friendly drugs, which are allowed to be used in organic farming, increased the resistance of the photosynthetic apparatus to the drought influence.
